In a new-year surprise some ex-students and friends of VEG’s Will, Kim, Dan & Amanda have spontaneously launched VEG Uganda.  Nyero, Charles, and Sharon…

…featured in this youtube Dan made a while ago about the Sabina Permaculture Project in Rakai District, Southern Uganda.

All three have all gone on to pursue permaculture since interning on the Sabina Permaculture Project and PDC that almost half the VEG team worked on with Rosemary Morrow and Jan Smart.  Nyero (who has taken to calling himself Nyerology in his blog posts) has started a blog with posts including my way to permaculture and a few days back Very Edible Garden Uganda!  So folks if you live in Uganda and have been waiting the day you could enjoy our services, that day has come!  Nyero, Charles and co will deliver, about that we have no doubt.  We wish these fine young people the very best with their new endeavor.

Here is a before and after shot of one of the areas transformed as part of the Sabina Permaculture Project (yep stuff grows kinda fast in the tropics!) along with a few more photos of the gang…
