Meet our Small Chook House. The 2022 edition featu

Meet our Small Chook House. The 2022 edition features; a nesting box lid holding chain, full access door, side step and ramp all included. That's alongside a capacity for up to 6 chooks, a mesh floor so that the manure drops straight through, a double egg box, colorbond roof and an entry and exit door located to the side you want it.
We hand make our chook houses in our workshop in Brunswick and use ethical and locally sourced untreated Golden Cypress which will outlast most other timber houses on the market.
Our houses can integrate into existing chook systems and if your system isn't fox proof we can install a lockable door on the house to keep your hens safe and sound.
If you aren't on our waitlist for one of these then get in touch now before our next price increase. Prices start at $1200 inc GST with free pickup from our workshop or delivery around Melbourne for a fee.

VEG is looking for that someone special with a flair for carpentry and an interest in working with ethically sourced timbers! Intrigued? Then read on and get in touch.

Very Edible Gardens is looking for a new team member to join our workshop, warehouse, and edible gardening team on a casual basis.

The role sees you in the workshop cutting and preparing timber for garden beds, constructing bespoke chook houses and other garden infrastructure and also in the gardens of Melbourne constructing wicking garden beds, chook straw yards, compost bays and more.

You will be working out of our warehouse and workshop in Brunswick, Vic, with the role initially being 2 to 4 days a week.
