Join VEG’s in-house pyromaniac tinkerer Joel Meadows at VEG’s Melbourne headquarters to hear, feel, smell and possibly even taste the power of smoke-free hyper-efficient rocket combustion to cook and heat stuff on a handful of twigs. Here’s a vid giving you a feel for why these things excite us:

This session starts with a free talk and demonstration from 11am-12pm and then will continue on into a paid 3-hour workshop ($60) running 12:30pm-3:30pm. In the workshop you’ll learn, among other things, how to build your very own rocket power unit from 50 old house bricks. If you’re very lucky, you’ll also taste a rocket-baked pizza – maybe even one with rocket on it!
