As of 1st December 2011, Stage 1 Water Restrictions are in place across Melbourne. For your VEG gardens and orchards this means that you can use either a hand-held hoses fitted with trigger nozzles or watering cans and buckets at any time. Watering systems (manual, automatic, spray, and drip) can be used between 6am and 10am and 6pm-10pm to water your plants on these days each week:
· Even and no-numbered properties: even dates of the month.
· Odd-numbered properties: odd dates of the month.
· Everyone can water on the 31st within the specified times.
