We’re excited to announce our “Garden Stories” competition, which could be the first in a series—or the last—depending on the feedback we receive. This is your chance to win a free copy of The Weed Forager’s Handbook: A Guide to Edible and Medicinal Weeds in Australia by Adam Grubb and Annie Raser-Rowland, with free shipping Australia-wide. Plus, your garden story could be featured in our next newsletter and on our social media!
How to Enter
Participating in the competition is easy and fun:
- Follow us on Instagram or Facebook
- Email us your entry at competitions@veryediblegardens.com, including:
- A photo from your garden—this could be your proudest success, your biggest learning curve, or just a snapshot of you enjoying your edible oasis.
- A short story (anywhere from a sentence up to 200 words) sharing your gardening experience.
By entering, you’ll automatically be added to our mailing list, but don’t worry—you can unsubscribe at any time.
Important Dates
- Competition starts: Monday, 12/08/2024
- Competition ends: Monday, 26/08/2024
Make sure to get your entries in before the deadline! Entries received after the end date won’t be considered.
Judging and Announcement
Our team at Very Edible Gardens will review all entries and select the winner based on creativity and the story that best captures the spirit of gardening. We’ll announce the winner via email within 14 days of the competition closing.
Terms and Conditions
- Eligibility: The competition is open to everyone who loves gardening!
- Submission Guidelines: Photos must be original and taken by you; stories should also be your original work. Please keep your content family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.
- Use of Entries: You retain the rights to your photo and story, but by sending your entry, you give us permission to share it in our newsletter, on social media, and in other promotional materials. We may make small edits to your story for clarity and length.
- Privacy: We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal data for the purposes of this competition. Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
